So I had written out a completely different blog post today for you guys, but realized that today was National Coffee Day and I have a bangin’ coffee recipe I feel like I’ve been keeping from the world.
Before you moan or groan about a coffee recipe. I should have you know that I spend about 5 minutes (if that) making my coffee each morning. This recipe not only gives me the kick to get my day going, it has supplements that help gut health and promote a longer lasting energy.
Step 1: Let’s start with the coffee. Brew and set aside.
My preference is Bulletproof coffee because it’s clean. Yes, there is such thing as clean coffee. Many coffee brands actually contain traces of mold because of how they are processed, prepared and stored. Bulletproof coffee is a bit more on the expensive side, but it’s smooth, delicious, and clean. I get the K cups from the Bulletproof website.
Step 2: In a blender, add the following ingredients:
- 1 TSP – Bulletproof Brain Octane Oil.
Brain Octane Oil helps give you energy from fat and not sugar. It also helps your body burn fat and supports cognitive performance. This is a NECESSITY for your coffee whether you try my full recipe or not. And yes, it does work.
- 1/2 TSP – Grass Fed Ghee. (Optional)
Mostly for added taste and extra fats to keep you energized longer.
- 1 SCOOP – Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides.
This is what gives the coffee its froth. Simply put, collagen peptides are a supplement that improve your hair, skin, nails, and joints. They also promote a healthy gut.
- 1 TSP – Cinnamon, Pumpkin Spice, or Cacao. For taste. 🙂
Step 3: Pour the coffee in the blender. Add a generous handful of ice. Blend. Ta da!
